Hayato Fujimura
Fujimura's work is based on the contradiction between his attachment to the uniformity of tools produced for consumption and his discomfort with the formalization of tools for consumption. The term "tools" here refers to industrial products, buildings, and other artifacts created by humans with a certain intention. By editing their structures and forms, he liberates the everyday forms of tools from formalization and sublimates them into artworks by shaking up our perception. (2021.7.13)
